The main tube wall steps up
The standard 70-wide specifies 76 × 2.0 mm main arch tubing. The 80-wide specifies 76 × 2.5 mm. That is a 25% increase in nominal wall thickness; it is not a 25% increase in building strength or total steel mass.
Tubular connection and bay bracing
Both compared buildings have trussed arches and steel purlins. The 80 drawings show repeated short tubular braces at roof purlin connections, plus larger tubular diagonals in selected bays. The 70 manual documents its steel-wire bracing arrangement.
Tighter truss spacing
The standard 70-wide uses approximately 10-foot frame spacing; the 80-wide uses approximately 8-foot spacing. At 200 feet long, the compared layouts have 21 and 26 frame positions, including both ends. Confirm the supplied layout for your order.
A taller profile to plan around
The nominal peak changes from 28 feet on the standard 70-wide to 37 feet on the 80-wide. Peak height is not doorway or sidewall clearance. Compare the actual equipment envelope and supplied drawings. A peaked roof is not a promise that snow cannot accumulate.
900 g/m² PVC cover
The Industrial series has a 900g PVC cover; the 30′–70′ range uses 750g. Confirm the material specification and requirements for your intended use with MAX.
